One of the awesome features we have here at Holdfire is the ability to transfer any pre-existing cPanel account over to our servers for free. You don't have to worry about losing any files, MySQL databases, emails, AWStats or any other settings in your cPanel.
If you need a cPanel transfer done for your new hosting account with us, then you can just run through this quick checklist:
- After ordering your hosting account with us, you will need to submit a support ticket with your current cPanel username and password. Remember, your previous account must be active for us to transfer it.
- Refer to your New Account Information email for your DNS nameservers, and update your domain's DNS. This is so your site can start pointing to our servers; During this time we recommend not updating your site.
- While you're waiting for your DNS to propagate you can log into your cPanel account on Holdfire by using the temporary IP address for cPanel access or FTP. This is to ensure that you connect to our server, and not your previous host's.
- Now that your cPanel is transferred to Holdfire, and your domain's nameservers are changed the only thing you need to do is sit back, relax and enjoy your website! Your domain is now being hosted by a reliable and reputable service.
